Chennai airport terminals and passenger amenities would be maintained well

It is known that people use airports more these days as travelling by flights saves lots of time. Recently union minister of state Mr. Jayant Sinha came to Chennai to attend a function at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology or IIT. It is said that he had given few instructions about the maintenance of the airport plus on the feedback system after he inspected domestic terminal and toilets at the Chennai airport.

It is now said that the authorities would increase the maintenance of terminals plus toilets etc and this would be as per the instructions received from the minister. Previously the minister Mr. Jayant Sinha received complaints regarding cleanliness aspect here and he inspected the toilet at the Chennai airport. This minister also praised the work of authorities regarding the complaints from the travellers on the social media.

It is important to note that for maintaining the terminals plus toilets in the airport, Airport Authority of India or AAI has given tender to a company. To keep the toilets functional another company has been brought in. It is now clear that there was an issue in the construction here and this had prevented the authorities here in keeping the toilets neat and clean. Spreading of the flush water on the floor when two or three cubicles were used by the passengers is the problem.

Minister Mr Jayant Sinha spoke about how AAI is Rs 1300 company and how the professionalism of the officers must be on par with the size of the AAI.

He further spoke about how private airports located at Bengaluru and Hyderabad were doing well in maintaining good standards this inspite handling more or less same number of passengers like the airports of Chennai and Kolkata.

It is worthy to mention that the airports in Chennai as well in Kolkata are maintained by the public sector airport operator.
