For the sake of the people in the city of Chennai, Chennai Corporation has launched a mobile apps named Namma Chennai and people can use this apps to lodge their complaints.
Mr S.P. Velumani minister for municipal administration and water supplies grabbed the attention of many when he launched this mobile app for the people. It must be noted that presently this mobile app is available only in android. One important point to be noted is this app has been developed without the involvement of any private sector partnership.
It is said that by using the dash board the officials belonging to the Chennai Corporation would be able to track the grievances of the people of Chennai. According to an official this mobile app would be of great use for the people during any calamity. Pictures of the civic issues could be taken by the people and it could be uploaded.
It must be noted that civic issues of different types like storm water drains, potholes present on the roads, stray dog problems plus other issues regarding street lights, solid waste management etc would be taken care easily because of this mobile app now.
It is superb to note that the complaints raised by using this app would be directed to the concerned officials and as a result of this delay in rectifying the issue would not be there anymore. Chennai Corporation would also notify the residents of Chennai who have installed this app about the presence of different types of civic issues.
It is confirmed that this ‘Namma Chennai’ mobile apps would help in better interaction between the people and the officials and the app is very simple and it could be used easily.
The launching of this mobile app also saw the presence of other ministers like D. Jayakumar and Mr. P. Benjamin.
