No rains in the next 2 weeks - dry weather to persist

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are no prospects for any rain in the next 2 weeks and that the prevalent dry weather will persist.

The Northeast monsoon rainy season is over and the winter season is throughout the country. The North and eastern states are experiencing severe winter. In Tamil Nadu, the districts in the Western Ghat range and the Kerala state borders are experiencing severe chilly weather.

In this situation, the Indian Weather Bureau released the forecast for the next 2 weeks yesterday (26th January). It is stated that there are no prospects of rain in the next 2 weeks in the South States. The rainfall in the Andaman islands would be lower than the average.

As per the Chennai Meteorological Centre, dry weather will persist for the next 5 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
