Minister Sengottaiyan - 312 NEET coaching centres will be started

The National Librarians Conference was conducted yesterday (Friday, 2nd February) at the Chennai Anna Centenary Library.

While inaugurating the conference and delivering his opening address, the state minister for school education, Sengottaiyan, informed that mobile libraries will be set up in 12 districts to facilitate the students to start the habit of reading books.

These mobile libraries will visit a school in the mornings and another in the evenings. With permission from the headmaster of the school, the students will be given a 1-hour session for reading the library books.

Later, he had an interview session:

‘The state government of Tamil Nadu is resolute about the issue that the state government must be exempted from NEET. The state government is keen that the students must be protected from NEET. There is a court case pending on this issue.

During the 1st Phase, 100 NEET coaching centres have already been set up. The balance 312 NEET coaching centres are set to be opened tomorrow (Sunday, 4th February). So, all the 412 NEET coaching centres, as originally planned, will start functioning in all the areas.’
