It must be noted that when the connections between the neurons get strengthened over a period of time the memory formation and recall takes place inside the hippocampus. Long term potentiation or LTP is the name given for this synaptic strengthening.
According to the researchers chronic stress weakens the synapses or connections leading to reduction of this LTP. This finally results in reduction in the memory power.
It is now revealed that exercise is simple and easy method to remove the negative impacts on the memory of chronic stress. It is not easy to control stress in our lives but how much we exercise could be controlled by us.
