As per the recent recommendations regarding wage revision accepted by the central government, the basic salary of the employees in Grade Scales 1-5 will go up. With this, the employees at the lowest cadre will benefit much.
The basic salary of the employees starting their careers with the central government job is revised from Rs. 7000 to Rs. 18000 as per the implementation of the 7th Wage revision Committee.
Also, the starting salary of the Class-1 central government employees will increase to Rs. 56000. In this trend, the maximum salary of the senior officials of the central government is up from the present Rs, 90000 to Rs. 2.5 Lakhs.
When all the recommendations of the 7th Wages Revision Committee get implemented, around 48 Lakhs central government employees and 58 Lakhs pensioners will benefit.
As per the latest information gathered, it is understood that all the recommendations of the 7th Wages Revision Committee will get implemented from April 2018, However, some central government officials differ on this and inform that this may be implemented only in June or July.
