Six days camp in Chennai for administering Vitamin A liquid for children

Vitamin A is one of the essential ingredients for the children, especially of under 5 years of age, By administering Vitamin A to the children, the prospects of losing sight is prevented.
The vitamin A, stored in the child’s liver, starts reducing in 4 months’ period and depletes completely by 6 months.
Hence, it is essential to administer vitamin A dosage at least twice a year to the children less than 5 years of age.
A medical camp, orally administering Vitamin A to children of the age group 6 months – 5 years, is being organized from 19th February to 24th February in all the Chennai Primary Health Centres, Cooperative Development Centres, and Chennai maternity hospitals functioning under the control of the Department of health services under the Chennai Metro Corporation.589424 children in the age group 6 months-5 years will benefit by this camp.
The public can approach the nearest Chennai Primary Health Centres, Maternity hospitals, or Cooperative Child development centres and get their children (age 6 months-5 years) to get vitamin A orally administered and benefit.
