Passport service centres to be set up in Head Post Offices in 5 cities in Tamil Nadu

The facility of additional service of issuing passport was introduced in the Post Offices last year. This was a grand popular success. Following this success, plans are afoot to set up passport service centres in Head Post Offices in 5 cities.
The cities are Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Virudhunagar, Nagercoil, and Cuddalore.
A passport service centre will be opened in Villupuram Post Office under the domain of the Chennai Metro Postal Region on 27th February,
It will be opened on 1st March in Thiruvannamalai Head Post Office, at Virudhunagar Head Post Office on 27th February, and at Nagercoil Head Post Office on 28th February. The passport service at Cuddalore Head Post Office, functioning under the Central Postal Region, will be opened on 27th February.
Further, the passport service centres are set to be opened in 5 more places including Ramanathapuram, Dindigul, and Devakottai.
