New courses in Fisheries University

New courses are to be started in the Tamil Nadu Fisheries University. Tamil Nadu Fisheries University operates from Nagai as its headquarters. Recently, the government of Tamil Nadu has ordered changes in the names of 2 institutions:

Tamil Nadu Fisheries University will be named Tamil Nadu Dr. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University and the newly started Oradiambalam Fisheries College will be named as Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Fisheries College and Research Institute.

Presently, there are 140 students in BFSC course, 20 students in B. E. Course, 61 students in M.F.Sc. course, and 35 students in Ph. D.

In this situation, from the coming academic year, in the 4-year graduate course, new courses such as B. F. Sc. (Ocean Science), Fish Trade Management, B. Tech. (Food technology, skill, and environment) are set to be started.

The vice-chancellor informed that in the 2-year postgraduate course, courses such as M. F. Sc. (Nutrition and Food Technology), Physiology, Biochemistry, and M. Sc.  Marine Life Technology) are to be started.
