This news would certainly bring delight on the faces of many travellers in the state of Tamil Nadu. It is now revealed that soon there would be two bus terminuses in Chennai in the Tamil Nadu state. A bus terminus at Kilambakkam near Vandalur for the south bound buses plus one bus terminus at Madhavaram for those buses travelling north side of TN would be set up for the sake of the public and this was confirmed by none other than chief minister of Tamil Nadu Mr E. Palaniswamy.
On Friday, 23rd February 2018, chief minister of TN made his presence felt at Credai Fairopro 2018. In this event the chief minister expressed his thoughts and said that state government was committed to increase the infrastructure in tier 2 and tier 3 cities. He also spoke about how steps are being taken to reduce the traffic congestion in Chennai city.
Chief Minister Mr E. Palaniswamy further added that government is also taking many initiatives in providing affordable housing for the public. He spoke about how his administration was highly committed in promoting the private sector in housing etc.
He threw light on the efforts taken by the state government in reducing or decongesting the traffic on the roads in the cities and stressed the importance of the presence of outer ring roads as well as by-pass roads. The chief minister spoke about setting up of two bus terminuses one at Kilambakkam and another one at Madhavaram to ease the traffic congestion. He further stated the importance of ‘Housing for all’ scheme and about the role played by the private sector in this regard.
To promote the above mentioned scheme the state government has been executing many schemes were confirmed by the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
It is important to note that shelter fund was created by the government for two main reasons. The reasons are to increase the private sector participation plus to ensure housing for the poor.
It is now brought out that both TNHB as well as Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board have been playing crucial roles regarding the housing in TN. It is now said that many buildings have been built by these two for the sake of the poor.
The chief minister also spoke about the government playing its part in simplifying the process of granting permission to built structures in Chennai.
Tamil Nadu state deputy chief minster Mr O. Paneerselvam spoke about the construction of rain water harvesting tanks inside every building and TN state being unique in that regard.
