Petrol and Diesel Prices in Chennai 2017 to 2018

Global Crude oil hit a high on the last week graph and so many economy experts expected a sudden rise in petrol and diesel prices in India. But the prices were actually on a decrease in fluctuation in many cities all over India.

As of February 24, 2018 in Chennai the petrol price was down by 9 paise per litre mapping up the mark as Rs 74.16 per liter whereas the Diesel price hit a mark of Rs 65.51 per litre.

On the petrol prices, Chennai saw many fluctuations in the range from February, 2017. As of January 01, 2018 the price marked as Rs 72.53 which was comparatively very low than the current day’s price. The last three months of 2017 saw a fluctuation range between Rs 70.85 to Rs 72.54. As of July 2, 2017 the price hit a rock bottom of Rs 65.44 which is the lowest price of last year variables. In the end of January 2018 the petrol price was Rs 74.43.

When the petrol prices of last twelve months were taken into account, there were some steadfast increase in the ranges and also a very few drop didn’t last long.

The diesel prices in Chennai are in the range of Rs 65 for the past seven days that is in between Rs 65.52 to Rs 65.96. This range is comparatively lower than the previous two weeks variables. The New Year day of 2018 started with the diesel price of Rs 62.90, so the increase is very high making the goods travel concerns of the country into havoc. Many strikes were announced from the heavy vehicle owners because of this increase but the price is still hitting the big variables not stabilizing well enough for the overall commodity travel inside the country.

As of April 01, 2017 the diesel price range is about Rs 58.82 which is the lowest of the past Twelve Months graph.
