3.26 Lakhs candidates interested in police job

3.26 Lakhs candidates have applied for the 6140 vacant posts for Grade-2 Police in the State Police department.
The Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board had announced the recruitment to fill up the 6140 vacant posts of Grade-2 policemen in the Tamil Nadu Police department, Prison Department, and the department of firefighting during December 2017.
Applications have to be made only online. Assistance centres were set up in all districts to guide the online application process. An exclusive mobile number was created for any emergency help.
In this situation, the last date for applying online got over on 27th January.
As mentioned above, 3.26 lakhs candidates have applied for the 6140 vacant posts.
The written examination is scheduled next month.
The police officials informed that after the written examination, other tests such as physical measurement and physical fitness tests. After this, the qualified candidates will be selected.
