LPG cooking gas cylinder price down

The price of the non-subsidised 14 kg LPG cooking gas cylinder has come down by a maximum of Rs. 46.50. The public sector undertakings, Indian Oil, Bharath & Hindustan supply 2 types of LPG cylinders for domestic and commercial purposes.

The price of these cylinders varies depending on the international market price of the crude oil on a monthly basis. The customers who buy the LPG cooking gas cylinders under the central government’s direct subsidy system at the market price will be paid the subsidy amount as a deposit in their respective bank savings accounts.

The oil companies declare 2 prices for the domestic LPG cooking gas cylinders – subsidised and non-subsidised. In Chennai, only non-subsidised cylinders are sold. The price of this last month was Rs. 746. Now, this price has come down by Rs. 46.50 and sold at Rs. 699.50.

The price os the subsidized LPG cooking gas cylinder has come down from Rs. 483.77 to Rs. 481,21.

The commercial LPG cooking gas cylinder price has come down by Rs. 80.50 from Rs. 1387.50 t0 Rs. 1307.

This month, the oil corporations will deposit the subsidy amount of Rs. 229.50 for the customers who buy the subsidized LPG cooking gas cylinder.
