Dearness Allowance for central govt employees up by 2%

The Dearness Allowance of the central government employees has been increased by 2%. There are 48.81 lakhs central government employees in the country. There are 61.17 lakhs pensioners retired after central government service.
The 7th Wages Revision Committee had recommended the increase of Dearness Allowance paid to the central government employees from 5% to 7%.
Accordingly, the central government has ordered an increase in Dearness Allowance for its employees by 2%.
