Anna salai Metro Rail Connection to all other hubs of the Metro centers is nearing the completion. Now the Highways Department is in the process of renovating three subways in the stretch of Anna Flyover, Thousand Lights and Guindy for a budget of three crores.
According to the Highway department reports the subways are closed for the pedestrians, as the construction of Metro tracks are still in progress. They also confirmed that towards the end of the year 2018 all the three subways in the Anna Salai stretch will be renovated and will be laid off for the use of public.
DMS subway has a direct entry to the metro station of that area and this construction is almost complete.
Lighting conditions, Cracked Walls and Re-painting of the roofs and walls will be undergone in all these subways. Especially in Guindy the connection of subway links directly to the Industrial Estate and so the population is always very dense in busy hours of any given day. The quick re-opening of the renovated subway was expected from the people for a long time.
The Official reports of CMRL confirmed that the stretch of Anna salai Metro of 3.3 Kilometers will be opened in the month of April 2018.
