47 IndiGo flights are cancelled due to engine inefficiency and failures

The year commencement has been a downward spiral for GoIndigo flights, the companies 47 flights are cancelled after DGCA reported the faulty engines and the three mid-air engine failures since February.

Indigo’s A320Neo planes were constantly on a failure and repairing phase for past three to four months. This lead to the cancellation of 47 flights in the domestic network on March 13. The Aviation regulator DGCA grounded the eight A320Neo planes with Pratt and Whitney engines combined with the three flights of GoAir.

The cancelled flights contains the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Patna, Srinagar, Amritsar, Guwahati and Srinagar.

One of the A320Neo flight to Lucknow had a mid-air engine failure and landed at Ahmedabad again within 45 minutes of its take off. This escalated the issue causing DGCA to ground the cancellation of domestic flights on safety charges for Public.

Many Marketing Experts expect a down grade points for Indigo, as the official reports of the cancellation of flights are announced for the public. The Share price of the GoIndigo Airlines can go to a state of chaos and the company’s board members initiated an emergency meeting to sort the problem as soon as possible.
