The news that Pondicherry University name has been included in the CBSE NET Application form has brought great happiness on the faces of many students of this university.
Earlier the name of Pondicherry University did not find a place in the application form that was issued by the Central Board of Secondary Examination or CBSE for the UGC or University Grants Commissions National Eligibility Test or NET for the year 2018.
This was not taken easily by the popular Pondicherry University and it took it up with the CBSE and UGC NET exam conducting agency.
Mr. K. Mahesh assistant registrar, public relations, Pondicherry University shared his thoughts and said the omission of the Pondicherry University from the UGC-NET exam application process was brought to their attention and immediate inclusion of the name was requested.
It is important to mention here that Vice- Chancellor of Pondicherry University Mr Gurmeet Singh as well as registrar of Pondicherry University Mr. Tharanikkarasu played crucial role in getting Pondicherry University’s name included now as they took it up with the officials belonging to CBSE and explained them regarding this mistake.
According to Mr Mahesh, thousands of students complete their post graduate studies from this prestigious university and from many affiliated colleges of this university. He also spoke about how this inclusion of the name would be highly beneficial for those students who apply for the UGC NET examinations.
It is now revealed that incorrect code was responsible for the Pondicherry University’s name not being included and this issue is sorted out now.
