How to make freshly baked multigrain bread at home?

The aroma, texture and freshness of a hot, baked bread is absolutely tempting! All the food lovers will definitely want to give it a try at their home. 

Here is the recipe for a healthy multigrain bread containing rusting flavors and homemade rich aroma:

The multigrain bread contains whole wheat flour, oats, millet flours, and assorted seeds. There are mixed millets and flax seeds added on it. With baking, the flavors ooze out.

You can make use of the healthy bread to prepare sandwich using freshly cut veggies, salt and pepper, and toast it for a twist!

Required ingredients:
  • Whole wheat flour – 2 cups
  • Ragi flour – 0.25 cup
  • Jowar or White millet flour – 0.25 cup
  • Bajra or black millet flour – 0.25 cup
  • Powdered flax seeds – 1 tbsp
  • White sesame seeds – 1 tsp
  • Melon seeds – 1 tsp
  • Quick cooking rolled oats – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1tsp
  • Dry yeast – 1 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 tbsp

Ingredients for toppings
  • Whole Ragi flour – 0.25 cup
  • Bajra or black millet flour – 0.5 tsp
  • Quick cooking rolled oats – 1 tsp
  • Flax seeds – 0.5 tsp

Method:

Step 1 – Take a bowl and add yeast, sugar 0.25 cup of lukewarm water, and thoroughly mix. Cover up the bowl with a lid and allow it to rest for 10 minutes

Step 2 – take all the remaining ingredients together with the mix you’ve just prepared in the bowl. Mix altogether and knead well to achieve a loose, sticky dough. For mixing, you may use up to 1.5 cups of water

Step 3 – take a bread loan tin and grease it with butter. Place the mixed dough. Get your fingers greased too and spread the dough thoroughly in the tin

Step 4 – now, it’s topping time. Over the dough, nicely sprinkle the topping and cover it up with a dry muslin cloth. Allow it to rest in a warm place for about half an hour

Step 5 – have your own preheated at and bake the preparation at 210 degree Celsius for 20 minutes. After this, lower the temperature to 160 degree Celsius and bake it for about 10 minutes. Once done, keep the mix aside and allow it to get cooled

Step 6 – once it gets cooled down a bit, it’s time to take it off the mold and slice it up into bread slices of thickness as you require.

Your hot, freshly baked, healthy multigrain bread is now ready to turn into sandwich, toasts and others as you wish!
