The Ambathur park, spread over an area of 36,000 square feet, is being given a face lift at an outlay of Rs.6 lakhs. Among the new facilities are a 12-foot- high clock tower, toilets, paved footpath for walkers, children’s play area, besides a compound wall. Saplings of Basil (Tulasi), Oregano (Omam), Solanum Xanthocarpum (Kantankattiri) have also been planted.
In general a park is a usefull and to be well maintainable place for the public usage.whereas we can see many old aged tends to walk,exercise,meditate,etc.inside park area. A well maintained parks are said to be one of the public gathering area and said to be a landmark to the maintenance Like wise the Krishnapuram park in Ambattur is to be refurnished by the newly added commodities and more than that. The entire compound wall has been white washed with glittering colours. Paintings of flowers, birds, women with Veena, adorn the inside walls. Footpaths are also repaired and painted in green and white colour in both sides.
Mean while the Play equipment like seesaw, swings, slide-ladder have been painted with eye-catching colours to attract children. Welcoming the renovation work, the residents of the locality said the facility would be very useful to all.
