Weather Forecast for the week in India from April 9 to April 15

Let us take a look at the weather forecast for the week.

South India

Scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers are possible over Kerala, Interior Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana until April 10. On April 11 and 12, scattered rains and thundershowers may occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. On and off rains will continue over Kerala and Interior Tamil Nadu throughout the week.

Northwest India

Fairly widespread rain and thundershowers with isolated snowfall is expected over upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir until April 11. Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh will also receive good rain and thundershowers during this period. On and off rain and thundershowers with isolated dust storm will also continue over entire Northwest Plains until April 11. Thereafter, weather is expected to clear up. However, sky may become partly cloudy to cloudy over Northwest Plains around April 14 and 15. Maximum temperatures will not touch the 40-degree mark in the coming week and they will remain marginally below normal.

Central India

Vidarbha, parts of Chhattisgarh and North Madhya Pradesh may receive isolated rain and thundershowers around April 10. On April 11, rain intensity will increase over all these areas. Thereafter, weather is expected to become almost clear and isolated thunderstorm may continue over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha.

Around April 14 and 15, isolated rain and thundershowers are expected over South Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada along with Southeast Rajasthan. Temperatures will remain in the similar range and will be near the normal range. Heatwave like conditions will remain at bay for at least one week. Meanwhile, Gujarat will continue to remain dry and hot.

East and Northeast India

Isolated light rainfall is expected over East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India until April 14. On April 15, rain intensity will reduce significantly but isolated weather activities may continue. On and off rain and thundershowers may occur over few areas of Jharkhand, Odisha and isolated pockets of Gangetic West Bengal. Thereafter, dry weather is expected over the region.
