Online Payment now possible in Cooperative Banks

State owned cooperative banks, primary agricultural cooperative credit societies and other cooperative organizations now have online banking facilities. Customers may now immediately complete cash transactions.
After this facility has come into force, the Tamil Nadu State Apex Cooperative Bank has allowed all payments to be made via internet, including payment of electricity bills. The banks have tied up with online company ‘Bill Desk’ as a payment gateway. This is a free facility for the customers.
Payments can be made to over 100 institutions including Corporation of Chennai, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, LIC, BSNL, Indian Management Instruction Institute, Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank etc.
