The price of vegetables has gone up in the Koyambedu wholesale vegetable market.
Beans, which was being sold at the Koyambedu wholesale vegetable market at Rs. 35 per kg, is now being sold at Rs. 55 to Rs. 65 per kg.
Potato, ivy gourd, and turnip were sold at Rs. 20 to Rs. 25 per kg. Carrot was sold at Rs. 25 to Rs. 30 per kg. Lady’s finger (okra) was sold at Rs. 15 per kg.
Rural grown broad beans was sold at Rs. 30 to Rs. 40 per kg. Tomato was sold at Rs. 10 per kg. Onion was sold at Rs. 12 to Rs. 15 per kg. Beetroot, brinjal, cabbage, and snake gourd were sold at Rs. 10 to Rs. 15 per kg.
As there was an increase in the quantity of raw banana reaching Koyambedu, it was sold at Rs. 3 to Rs.5 per piece.
Chowchow and cluster beans were sold at to Rs. 45 per kg. At a higher price level, ginger was sold at Rs. 100 to Rs. 110 per kg.
