Today (Monday, 4th June) is the last day to apply for re-totalling or to get a copy of the answer sheets of the +1 Public Examinations. +1 Public Examination was conducted during March and April. 8.5 Lakhs candidates wrote.
The results were released on 30th May. 91.3% passed. Very few students from the Mathematics/Science group scored above 550 out of 600.
As the general trend was the most of others had also scored fewer marks in these examinations, the students preparing for NEET and JEE were shocked. However, at the same time, many students from the group of Economics/Commerce have scored over 580 marks out of 600.
In this situation, provision is available for the students with lower marks to make a check by getting a copy of their answer sheets. In case there are doubts about the total, there is a provision to apply for re-totalling.
The application for this purpose commenced on 1st June. It continued the next day as well. Today (4th June) is the last to apply for a copy of the answer sheets. The candidates need to apply from their respective schools giving details of the which answer sheet copies for which subjects are sought separately for each subject. The charges are Rs. 550 each for the language (Tamil and English) and Rs. 275 each for the other subjects.
The students are better advised to get the copy of the answer sheets first, check the same thoroughly, and then decide whether to seek re-totalling or revaluation.
For the candidates who apply online for this, the state examination board will provide the copy of the answer sheets online for a few days. Subsequently, time will be given to applying for re-totalling or revaluation.
In case the student desires only the re-totalling and not the copy of the answer sheets, he/she can apply directly for re-totalling. The state examination board has announced that today (Monday, 4th June) is the last day for this.
