The Tirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam Board (TTD) has informed that the hundi collection at the hugely popular temple of the devotees was Rs. 2.64 Crores.
The thronging crowd of devotees, visiting Tirupathi to have the Darshan of the Lord Venkateswara, offer their monetary/other items contribution in the temple Hundi after the Darshan.
Accordingly, the hundi collection was counted for the 2 days from Monday Morning till Tuesday evening and found to be worth Rs. 2.64 Crores.
79124 devotees had the Darshan of the Lord on Tuesday, 26th June. Out of this, 29294 devotees offered their hair with the tonsure.
The time allotment system in the routes for the devotees who visit the temple by foot Dharma Darshan has been implemented. The time allotment system for Wednesday is fixed as 2 hours wait for the devotees who visit the temple by foot and 15 hours for the devotees who come by waiting in the Vaikuntam Halls.
Dharma Darshan devotees wait in 18 waiting halls. For the first 20000 devotees who come by foot (14000 devotees on Alipiri route and 6000 devotees on Srivarimettu route) received the Divya Darshan token and had the Darshan.
The devotees who obtained tokens in the quick Darshan and walk-path Darshan (coming by foot) have to visit the temple by the time indicated in the tokens and then need to wait up to 5 hours to have the Darshan of the Lord.
