Weather Forecast for the week in India from July 9 to July 15

Let us take a look at the weather forecast for the week:

South India

Moderate to heavy rains will continue over Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and light to moderate rains over Telangana till July 10. Thereafter rain intensity will decrease over interior peninsula but moderate to heavy rains will continue over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Scattered light to moderate rains are also expected over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Rains will be subdued over Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.

Northwest India

Weather over the Northwestern Plains as well as Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh will remain dry up to July 9th. Light to moderate rains will occur over Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh and parts of Himachal Pradesh on July 10th. By July 11, many parts of Northwest India will start receiving light to moderate rains. Intensity of these rains will increase marginally and on and off rains will continue till July 15 over the Northwestern Plains.

Central India

Heavy to extremely heavy rains are expected over Vidarbha, parts of Chhattisgarh and adjoining Southeast Madhya Pradesh on July 9. Moderate to heavy rains are also likely over Konkan & Goa and South Gujarat. On July 10, we expect extremely heavy rains over West Madhya Pradesh and light to moderate rains over Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Southeast Rajasthan and Konkan 7 Goa. Thereafter, till July 15 on and off rains will continue but occasional heavy showers over West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and South Rajasthan cannot be ruled out.

East and Northeast India

Moderate to heavy rains are expected over the northeastern states, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Light to moderate rains are likely over Odisha, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh till July 11. From July 12 onwards, scattered light to moderate rains will continue over northeastern states, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, remaining parts of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar will receive light rains will few moderate spells till July 15.
