The Air India flight, scheduled for Mumbai to Madurai via Chennai, is being cancelled from today (Thursday, 12th July).
The flight number ‘AI -671’, is taking off from Mumbai and reaching Chennai at 10.45 am every day. Then, it takes off for Madurai at 11.30 AM and it was taking off from Madurai to reach Chennai at 2.15 pm.
This flight has been in operation since 1974 and has been in service for 42 years. Belonging to the category of Airbus, it accommodates 150 passengers. It is a regular routine for the flight to carry the famous Madurai jasmine flowers and also the vegetables are grown in the neighbourhood. However, as the number of passengers has dwindled to alarmingly low levels, Air India has announced that this flight is being cancelled from today (12th July) to 31st July.
