Free NEET coaching classes set to start in a week

The free coaching classes for writing NEET (National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test - mandatory for pursuing medical courses MBBS and BDS) exclusively for the students studying in the government and the government-aided schools are all set to start in a week’s time.
300 government school teachers are ready to conduct the coaching classes. The +2 students seeking to pursue medical courses MBBS and BDS must pass NEET.
There are several private coaching centres for this. But the candidates need to pay fees of over Rs. 1 Lakh.
Because of this, to facilitate the students studying in government and government-aided schools belonging to the economically backward sections of the society, NEET coaching classes are provided free on behalf of the state government.
The system of providing free coaching classes by the Tamil Nadu state government commenced in the year 2017. At that time, a booklet containing question banks of the questions asked during the previous years and the answers for them were distributed free to the students.
The coaching classes were conducted through the video-conference system and by special classes during the weekends.
After the conclusion of the +2 Public examinations, additional training was imparted in the college complexes along with free boarding facility for the students of the government and government-aided schools.
In a similar trend, the free NEET coaching classes given on behalf of the state government are set to start in a week’s time. 320 especially skilled +2 teachers from Tamil Nadu have been given special training in the cities of Hyderabad and Bengaluru for this purpose. These teachers are ready to take up the free coaching classes for NEET.
The officials of the state government department of school education informed that the handbook containing a question-bank including the questions asked in 2017-18 NEET along with the answers are ready to be distributed to the students free.
