Several organizations are set to go on a protest against the proposed revision by the central government to be made in the Motor Vehicles Act.

Presently, the proposed revision has been passed by the parliament and then awaiting approval in the Rajya Sabha.

Various organizations, including the public and private sector buses, rental vehicles, and the manufacturers of spare parts have decided to go on strike as a protest against the above on 7th August throughout the country.

As more than 10 Unions including the CITU, TMK, AITUC, HML and MLF which function in the Tamil Nadu Government Transport Corporations are also set to participate in the above-proposed strike, there arises a situation where the public transport facility may be disrupted.
