A prize worth Rs. 1000 may be won buying Ooty Tea powder

The state government of Tamil Nadu has decided to offer a chance to win a prize of Rs. 1000 worth items for those who buy Ooty tea powder in ration shops.
In the ration shops of the Tamil Nadu government, items such as Ooty tea powder, Amma‘ Salt, and other grocery items which come under the unregulated category are also sold. The public can buy them as per their requirements.
The private Tea Manufacturing Companies spend on extensive advertisements and offer concessions to attract customers. Because of this, the public does not show preference to buy Ooty tea powder. Subsequently, the state government has come up with the prize scheme.
An official from the department of cooperatives explained regarding this that the company named Indco`s comprising of buying tea from the small-scale tea growers group and sold in the ration shops. In a move to increase the sales of the Ooty tea powder, a prize scheme has been introduced – there will be an Rs. 1000 coupon placed inside the Ooty tea powder packet. The buyer who gets this coupon from the packet bought can submit this coupon and the ration card to the concerned ration shop or the office of the Associate Registrar of the Cooperative Region. he prize items would be given through the office of the Associate Registrar. This scheme will be implemented soon.
