Prospects of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of rain with thunder in a few places for the next few days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The officials of the Chennai Meteorological Centre explained in this regard that due to the widespread formation of the cyclonic development over the interior North Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra area, there was heavy rain in a few places over the last 1 or 2 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The above cyclonic formation has now lost its intensity. So, the prospects of heavy rain have reduced. However, at the same time, due to the phenomenon of the thermal convection, there are prospects of mild rain with thunder in 1 or 2 places.
Chennai and its suburbs will generally remain cloudy. There are prospects of mild rain with the possibility of thunder in a few places.
