Chennai Rain Update (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)

Chennai and KTC Rain Update for today - Its a day where we will see dark clouds with one or two mini spell of rains here and there in the City. At one place we will see rains and if drive a bit it will be sunny. Typical rains before the NE monsoon. Rains are expected in the mornings-noon and then later at Mid-night to early morning.
Other Places in Tamil Nadu - It will be south TN and West TN day again.

Dream run continues in Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Dindigul and they will get rains today too. While today South TN districts such as Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Tirunelveli will get some spell of rains.
Early widespread rains this year

Coastal district such as Chennai, Pondy Cuddalore, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Karaikkal, Nagai will all be getting semma active in the coming days. Though we cant call it a monsoon onset, it will be raining in the typical monsoon pattern. The last time we got early rains from the easterlies in October was in the year 2005 around October 10th. This year it will be much more early.
There is going to be early rains this October, thanks to MJO and Rossby waves with Arabian Sea expected to hoist a Low Pressure / Depression / Possible cyclone which will not affect Tamil Nadu but in turn it will activate the easterlies and the pull effect rains are going to be awesome more on that later.
Meanwhile enjoy the typical pre-monsoon mini spells today / tonight / tomorrow early morning.
