It is the third day of nine-day Navratri celebration that started from October 10, 2018 and ends on October 18, 2018. The manifestation of Goddess Parvathi as a married avatar, Chandraghanta. The name means the half-moon on the goddess forehead that closely resembles a bell. Chandra means moon in Sanskrit and the third day denotes another side of the Goddess. Both cool and warm elements are within the eternal power of the goddess showing the faces of good for the good doers and rage against the evil minded spirits.
The color of the day is green. It stands as a middle pathway to angry red and calm blue, a transition of both the characters. The color and the devotional theme of this third day represents the destruction of evil happenings and other negative vibrations away from the lives of the true believers.
