Today is the sixth day of Navarathri. It is referred to as Shasthi. On this day, the goddess is worshipped in the name Katyayani – one of the goddess Parvathi’s forms. It is a morphing of the goddess in order to devastate Mahishasura, the buffalo demon. This day worships the goddess in her warrior form. On this day, the ideal color to wear is white.
