1.20 lakh can access IRCTC website

With the new technology to be introduced, all mobile phones could access the IRCTC website to book railway tickets online. The system if introduced, it is expected that at least 1,20,000 could access the IRCTC website and a minimum of 7200 persons can book railway tickets every minute.
At present, without this new technology system, allows only 40,000 users and allows reservation of 2000 tickets for every minute.
There has been often complaint from many that the IRCTC website hanged due to over traffic load due to which the passengers could not book tickets on time. Several complained that they could not book tickets on Tatkal basis too.
It is said if the proposed the new system would come in operation from this year-end , it would not leave the passengers in dilemma over their journey.
