It is well known that a new bus terminal was inaugurated on 10th of October 2018 in Madhavaram, Chennai and it caught the attention of many because the bus terminal was inaugurated by chief minister of TN, Mr. E. Palaniswamy. This terminus would be used by many north bound buses and people would be able to go to places like Tiruvallur districts, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh etc. This new terminal in Madhavaram was constructed at an amount of Rs 95 crores is known. The latest news is for the sake of commuters, MTC or Metropolitan Transport Corporation has introduced as many as 8 additional bus services from CMBT or Chennai Metropolitan Bus Terminus in Koyambedu to the MMBT or Madhavaram Mofussil Bus Terminus. It is now said that each bus would make 16 trips in a day and at MMBT one bus would be available for every 5 minutes. As per an official, more buses would be operated when the passenger patronage increases. One important point is the new bus services would run along the route numbers 114 and 121 cut service.
A senior official belonging to MTC expressed his views and spoke about how routes of other buses plying from RedHills to CMBT via Anna Nagar were also altered. These buses would enter MMBT and by this many passengers waiting at MMBT would be benefited. The Chennai city traffic police personnel has not given permission to take right turn at Madhavaram roundtana and due to this buses from Moolakadai would skip MMBT.
