Taking learning beyond textbooks and blackboards, Sri Chaitanya kids are now flying to overseas destinations to explore the science and history of everything up-close. One such batch is from the Sri Chaitanya Group of Educational Institutions from their schools in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamilnadu that visited the temples of space research and exploration – Euro Space Centre in Brussels, Belgium and the CERN (The European Organization for Nuclear Research) Geneva, Switzerland that operates the largest particle physics laboratory in the world. Experiential educational tours are fast gaining momentum among Indian schools in order to provide a holistic outlook of several topics of science, history, environmental studies and other technical subjects. The study tours have also been successful in stimulating the children`s intellectual growth given the direct exposure to hands-on experience.
Sharing the perspective of the new-age learning, Mrs. Seema Boppana - Director, Sri Chaitanya Group of Educational Institutions said," Our students are extremely happy and excited having participated in the Educational Tours in the Europe. Our school has been integrating what we term as experiential learning. The comprehensive growth of the child cannot be only attained by the traditional learning methods but the same needs to be clubbed with the touch-feel-see method. Moreover, the parents firmly acknowledge our philosophy of offering a world-class education to the students that enables them to be more scientific, go-getters and experts."
Considering the long-haul trip, there were special arrangements made for the safety of the kids with their parents informed about the whereabouts round-the-clock.
The immersive tour also covered visits to iconic places including three of the world wonders in Europe – The Colosseum in Rome, The Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Eiffel Tower in Paris offering an amazing window to witness the world renowned structures in reality. To strike an even balance between experiential learning and fun, the tour had also provisioned for a one-day excursion to children’s favorite, the Disneyland in Paris.
