National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for the academic year 2019 will begin on November 1. NEET being the gateway for MBBS and BDS courses applicants can register at the official website,
nta.ac.in from Thursday. The admit card can be availed from NTA website in the month of April.
Two hour written test in Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences (biology, zoology and botany) will be conducted on May 5, 2019. The results are planned to declare by June 5, 2019 followed by the admission sessions throughout the country.
NTA- National Testing Agency is a newly formed body under Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). Contrary to the earlier announcement the entrance exams for the year 2019 will be conducted only on offline mode. The registration for NEET 2019 ends on November 30, 2018.
A statement was made on July 7, 2018 about the admission test changing the mode to computer based for the next academic year. Against the statement the exam pattern was retained like the previous year completely offline in pen and paper format. Same number of languages will be maintained for this year like the previous year in terms with the request of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
There are some key criterions for NEET based medical courses admissions. The applicants should be in age limit between 17 years and 25 years calculated on the date of examination, May 5, 2019. Students applying for the exams should have completed a full time course in in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (or Biotechnology) at the intermediate level. Also there is no limit for number of attempts.
For the year 2019 the agency has announced that Aadhaar card is not necessary for the registration purposes. Students can select the city and the state in coherent with the languages.
