Spring Onion Curry Recipe

Here are the step-by-step instructions to prepare Spring Onion Curry recipe at your home. 

Ingredients:

  • Spring Onion - 1 Bunch
  • Besan flour (Kadalai mavoo) - 3 tbsp
  • Garlic - 5 finely chopped
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp (optional)  
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Salt - as needed
  • Curry leaves - few

Method:

  1. Wash the Spring onion, cut the onion from the spring onion and chop them, keep aside.
  2. Chop the spring onion leaves and keep aside.
  3. Heat Kadai with oil, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves.
  4. When it splutters add garlic and chopped onion, fry until onion turns golden brown.
  5. Add Salt, Turmeric powder, Red chilli powder and mix well.
  6. Fry for a minute, add chopped spring onion leaves and garam masala (optional), mix well.
  7. Allow this cook for about 4-5 miutes.
  8. Add besan flour and mix well,
  9. Saute well, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes with low heat. (till the besan gets cooked)
  10. Spring Onion Curry is ready, Serve this with Chappathi or Rice.
