Vendakkai MorKuzhambu, easy recipe which takes very less time and turns out very tasty.
Ingredients
- Vendakkai (Lady’s Finger) - 100 grm
- Curd - 2 cups
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli 2 nos.
- Curry Leaves - few
- Salt - as required
- Oil - 3 tbsp
- Asafoetida powder - ¼ tsp
- Coriander leaves
For Grinding
- Shallots (Chinna Vengayam) - 7 nos
- Green Chilli - 2
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Garlic - 5 cloves
- Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
- Coconut grated - 3 tbsp
- Water - little
Method
- Wash the Lady’s finger and cut it into small pieces.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and saute the Lady’s finger until it becomes soft.
- Add a pinch of salt and keep it aside.
- Grind all the ingredients with little water (Shallots, Green chilli, Cumin seeds, Garlic, Turmeric powder, Coconut) into smooth paste.
- Add ground masala to beaten curd, mix well and check salt.
- Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan, add Mustard seeds, cumin seeds, Red chilli and curry leaves, hing.
- Now add sauteed lady’s finger, ground masala and curd mixture, stir well.
- Cook with medium low flame.
- When it starts to boil, turn off the flame.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot with rice.
