TN government launches door-step Aadhar enrolment for kids below 5 years

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E. Palanisamy inaugurated a new scheme where door-step visits will be made to issue Aadhar cards to children below 5 years of age.

In an event organised on behalf of the state government department of Social Welfare and Nutrition Meal Scheme at the Chennai State Government Secretariat, the Chief Minister also introduced the facility to issue Aadhar cards for children in the respective houses, and also the pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers, where camps will be set up in local, are for distribution of Aadhar cards. The Chief Minister also introduced the facility to register the permanent Aadhar card numbers in the offices of the child development plan.

In order to facilitate the above, the CM also inaugurates the plan for the issue of 1302 Aadhar kit including computers, laptops, and biometric equipment at a cost of Rs. 13.71 Lakhs. The above kits will be used in 434 office of the child development plan.

As a token, in the above function, the Chief Minister distributed the above-mentioned kits for 7 offices of the Child Development Plan. Further, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the scheme to distribute cell phones loaded with App for common software use for the Anganwadi employees at a cost of Rs. 50.20 Lakhs.

With this, facilities would be available to continuously monitor the electronically maintained details/complaints/health condition of all the pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and the monitoring of the infant for the 1st 100 days after birth

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the new Traffic Department office in Poonamallee in Thiruvallur. Also, the traffic control offices were inaugurated in Tirupur, Iluppur in Vellore district, Ambur in Vellore district, Musiri in Trichy district, and R. K. nagar in Chennai.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated through Video Conference the recently formed Integrated Namakkal Dairy Producers Cooperative Association after the reformation of the Salem district Dairy Cooperative Unions and the new integrated Tirupur District Dairy Development Cooperative Association after the reform of the Coimbatore and Erode Dairy Manufacturers’ unions.

The state government minister Saroja and Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan participated in the above function.
