This year, the festival of Christmas became more purposeful and cheerful for students of Greenwood High, Bannerghatta as they undertook the “Joy of Giving” initiative to bring the smiles on the faces of under-privileged children at Sunbeam orphanage in JP Nagar. As a part of the initiative, the students donated over 1,000 books to build a library at the orphanage. They also made gift boxes of chocolates and stationary and donated the same to the children. Efforts made by the students ensured that children had priceless smiles on their faces at the end of the day. The children at the orphanage loved the occasion as their eyes glimmered with excitement and happiness and felt loved to be with the students of the school. This was not all, the students also encouraged the Joy of Giving at a mall on Bannerghatta Road and encouraged many other children to make the Joy Boxes for the less-privileged children. The students were inspired by the teachers and staff of Greenwood High, who also presented gifts to their maids, drivers, kitchen staff and all the other helpers to usher in the spirit of Christmas and the Joy of Giving.
