For the New Year in Chennai, 15000 police personnel to make their presence felt

The entire world is gearing up for the New Year 2019 is well known. In the city of Chennai also the people are waiting anxiously for the New Year as today, 31st December is the last day of this 2018. It is known that in the past people belonging to the city of Chennai celebrated the New Year with huge happiness. There were also lots of people who gathered on this wonderful occasion of New Year and created issues for many women and children etc. It is now brought out that to control the crowd and manage the traffic the city police has made arrangements so that the celebrations would be safe. The important piece of information is more than 15,000 police personnel would be making their presence felt at 368 check points and 25 patrol teams.

There are few places in Chennai city where many people gather and at these places police department would use CCTV cameras, drones and watch towers so that the New Year celebrations would be safe. It is revealed that Marina Beach and Elliot’s Beach where many people gather on the New Year eve would have many police personnel to take care of women and children. Many temporary shelters have been set up in these beaches in Chennai by the police department to monitor the celebrations. The police sources have confirmed that the eve teasers would be punished severely. It is now gathered that all the vehicles that move towards ECR would be checked for traffic violations.

The important point is there are many resorts available in places like Kottivakkam, Palavakkam and Neelankarai on the ECR. These resorts would be hosting many New Year parties. The information is barricades have been placed at many places on the stretch to stop the speeding vehicles. There would be elaborate security arrangements in the hang out spots like malls, recreational centres and shopping hubs like T, Nagar and Sowcarpet.
