The online registration for admission of students to Kendriya Vidyalaya (known as KV) is scheduled to commence from 1st March.
1199 Kendriya Vidyalaya schools are functioning throughout the country under the control of the central government Department of Human Welfare. There are 48 KVs in the state of Tamil Nadu. There are 14 KVs in the Chennai Metro City and its suburbs.
Students can study from 1st Standard to +2 classes in these schools.
The admission for the current academic year for admission to the 1st Standard, online registration is scheduled to commence at 8.30 Am on 1st March.
A deadline has been given for online application for this up to 4.00 PM on 19th March.
After the scrutiny of the received online applications, the 1st list of candidates selected for admission will be released on 26th March.
The 2nd list will be released on 9th April and the 3rd list, on 26th April.
Priority for admission will be given to the children of military personnel, central security personnel, central government employees, state government employees, the persons who had received national awards from the central government, and the children of the old KV students.
