Things are all set and the CBSE has rolled out the schedule for Class-10 board exams. According to the date sheet (schedule), the board exams shall take place starting from 21st February 2019 until 29th March 2019. Class-10 board exams are often considered highly crucial as it decides your academics further from class-11.
As far as the marking system for class-10 board exams is concerned, 80% of the score is dependent on board exams and remaining 20% by the internal assessment.
Well, students, panic not! Stay cool and keep these simple tips in your mind for successfully completing your class-10 exam:
- Grab a NCERT book (perhaps you already have one). Have this as your primary reference. Read it thoroughly to get good knowledge and understanding of your entire syllabus.
- Never aim at mugging up the syllabus, rather invest your efforts towards understanding the core concepts. Simply memorizing is of no use literally.
- Never let stress build up! Always take time amidst your work to overcome fear and stress
- Make sure to memorize only the theorems and formulas
- Take time to practice question papers of previous years. Allot about 3 hours to attend to these questions. Make sure to cope with the time limit given to you during board exams.
- Split the units based on weightage and spend time according to it
- Make sure to always write legibly. The way in which you present can easily impress the correcting teacher and be favorable to you in scoring high marks
- Always include bulletins and split the content into paragraph in papers like social science or science exams
- Manage time properly. It is very crucial to give attention to all the subjects equally
Tips for exam hall
- Read through the front page of question paper right after you receive. Read thoroughly and then start answering
- Start with questions that you are very sure of
- Properly number the questions and give enough spacing between lines before you go with answering the other question
- Revise the entire answer once completed. Recheck that you have not left any question unattended
