Which is right? Brush teeth before breakfast or brush teeth after breakfast? There was a question raised about this on a famous Q&A portal which resulted in many different answers and arguments.

Set asides the cleaning it offers and protection it gives to your teeth. First of all, why should we brush out teeth? In our mouth, there are numerous bacteria of different types. They keep breeding in your mouth 24*7 on each of your tooth. When these are not cleaned up from time to time, it may result in inflammation and affect your body immunity. Furthermore, there are harmful waste residues in your mouth along with acid residue. This is a result of what you eat and drink in your day. There are several studies in this regard as to how harmful these residues are. In fact a few studies state that such residues may even cause heart disease or cancer or other digestive disorders.

That said, you should now know how important it is to regularly brush your teeth. Coming on to the main question of the right time to brush teeth, it is generally advised by the dental experts that brushing teeth in the morning is the ideal time. It is believed that this will weed out all kinds of plaque and buildup that are formed through your bedtime. On the other hand ,when you practice to brush after breakfast, you are advised to brush at least half an hour after eating, because the sugar or acid content in your meal (like orange or cereal) will alter the pH level inside your mouth. This will eventually make the tooth enamel weak. Hence, as you practice to brush your teeth after meals, chances are that the enamel will get softer and let the acid content of your meals enter your teeth.
