Anna University has announced that the online application/registration has commenced for the admission of the Indian students with parents settled abroad in Gulf countries, etc., and interested foreign students to be given seats in the colleges for the coming academic year (2019-20) on the basis of the quota allotted for this category.
In a notification regarding this from Anna University Registrar (in charge) J. Kumar, it is mentioned:
‘Applications are invited online from students whose parents live abroad including the Gulf countries for admissions to the Engineering Courses and the integrated 5-years M. Sc. Course under the special quota allotted to this category.
These candidates can apply only to this following colleges: Guindy Engineering College, Alagappa Technical Education Institute, Architecture College (only for M. Arch. Course), Chennai Chromepet MIT (Madras Institute of Technology) and Trichy BIT (Bharathidhasan Institute of Technology).
The online application has been in process from 1st March.
Candidates interested in applying under this special quota category need to apply online before 7th June - www.annauniv.edu/cir.
The counselling for the foreign candidates is scheduled on 17th June. The counselling for the students whose parents are working in Gulf countries and other foreign countries is scheduled on 18th June.
