Extension by another 6 months to link PAN and Aadhar cards

The central government had earlier announced the last date to link PAN and Aadhar cards as 31st March 2019.
However, in the latest situation, the central government has extended this deadline by another 6 months!
So, the Direct Tax Department of the Central Government has announced that the PAN and Aadhar cards must be linked before 30th September.
At the same time, it has also been announced that it is mandatory to furnish Aadhar card details to file the Income Tax returns.
