The important news is starting from Saturday the counselling to fill the management medical seats would take place and it was confirmed by the officials. The point is on the third day of counselling for PG admissions as many as 877 seats were filled and as many as 201 seats remained vacant in government medical colleges and also government seats in private medical colleges were vacant. On Wednesday, 3rd April 2019, as many as 1015 candidates were called for counselling and this was as per the selection committee officials. It is worthy to note that 747 candidates attended the counselling and 165 seats were allotted to them.
The point here is out of a total of 165 seats allotted, as many as 101 seats were allotted to service doctors and 64 seats were allotted to private doctors. It is now said that 61% seats were allotted to the service doctors and 39 percent seats to the private doctors. As many as total 290 seats were allotted on the first day is known. The committee officials pointed out that out of total 290 seats, and 112 seats were allotted to service doctors and 178 seats to private doctors.
Out of total of 422 seats that were allotted on Tuesday, 2nd April, as many as 145 seats went to service doctors and 277 seats went to private medical practitioners. Till now as many as 877 seats have been allotted and it includes 358 seats for the service doctors and 519 seats for the private doctors. It meant 41% of seats were allotted to the service doctors and 59% to the private doctors.
Government multi super-speciality hospital at Omandurar in Chennai is the centre where these admissions have been going on. It is revealed that till Thursday, counselling to fill the government seats in private as well as government medical colleges would go on.
