The activity of the correction of the answer-sheets for the public examination is in progress in full swing. As it is a holiday on Saturday, 6th April, the Director of the State Examination Board Vasundhara Devi informed that there would not be any correction activity today (6th April).
The activity of correction of the answer-sheets for the Public Examination for the +2 and the 10th Standard students has been in progress in the respective district level.
With the announcement for the parliamentary elections, scheduled on 18th April in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, the state government department of examinations has decided to announce the results on the very next day after the elections – 19th April.
The correcting teachers are given 24 answer-sheets each during the forenoon and afternoon sessions and this is in progress at full swing. An additional incentive of Rs. 10 per answer-sheet is being paid to the correcting teachers.
The department of examinations has ordered that the correction activity must be completed before 9th April an must be sent along with the final report.
Further, the department had cancelled the holiday today (Saturday, 6th April) on account of Telugu New Year Day. It had been announced that the teachers must attend the correction duty.
However. The correction staff appealed that they were too stressed to work continuously including the holidays with the over-burden of work and hence requested a holiday at least for the Telugu New Year Day.
In this scenario, the director of the state department examination board, Vasundhara Devi has announced that the correction camp duty will not be performed on Saturday, 6th April on account of the Telugu New Year Day.
