By-election for Ambur and Kudiyatham Assembly constituencies on 18th April

Though the election for Vellore parliamentary constituency is cancelled, the by-polls scheduled to be conducted in 2 legislative assembly constituencies in the same district, Ambur, and Kudiyatham will be conducted as scheduled on 18th April.
Earlier, the Election Commission had announced the cancellation of the parliamentary election in the Vellore constituency as several crores of cash were seized.
However, the Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Satyaprada Sahu has announced that the by-polls for the 22 legislative assembly constituencies Ambur and Kudiyatham will be conducted as announced.
